Arsenal FC are the only football club to have never been relegated from the top division of English football and are the only team in Premier League history to go an entire season unbeaten as they did in the 2003/04 season.

Founded in 1886 as Dial Square, the club was originally based in Woolwich, South London but moved north to Highbury in 1913.

Arsenal moved to the Emirates Stadium, a purpose built 60,000 capacity ground in 2006 after 93 years at Highbury.

They are one of only five clubs to have won the historic double of FA Cup and League, doing so in 1971 and again in 1998 and 2002.

Arsenal found success in the early 1990s with a brand of dull football that had the club dubbed as "Boring, boring Arsenal".  This way of playing changed completely with the appointment of current manager Arsène Wenger who revolutionised the clubs playing style as well as the way players trained, ate and recovered from matches.

Wenger's team won the league and cup double in his second full year in charge and his "Invincible" team of 2003/04 went unbeaten in a total of 49 league games across that season and the seasons before and after.  This is an English record.

Arsenal has competed in the Champions League for a record 17 consecutive seasons as of 2012 and reached the final in 2006, losing to Barcelona.
